PROCESS TO DESIGN LIGHTING
01

PRELIMINARY
DESIGN
The Preliminary Design phase is the foundational stage where the architectural vision is translated into a coherent lighting language.
Our primary objective during this phase is to establish a clear "Lighting Concept" that balances aesthetic impact with functional requirements, ensuring the light supports the intended atmosphere and use of each space.
02
CONCEPTUAL
DESIGN
A conceptual phase in which various lighting strategies, luminaires, and control systems are carefully evaluated in response to the spatial program and aesthetic objectives.
The design approach focuses on enhancing functionality, defining focal points, and shaping the desired visual atmosphere. This stage establishes the conceptual framework of the project and serves as the foundation for the detailed technical development that follows.
03

SCHEMATIC
DESIGN
A preliminary lighting plan is developed to define the project’s lighting requirements. During the Schematic Design phase, a comprehensive lighting program is established for each area of the space, taking into account the architectural context as well as applicable energy codes and standards.
This program outlines the proposed luminaire types, light sources, and control systems to be integrated into the design.
04

DETAILED
DESIGN
The selection and positioning of lighting luminaires, light intensity levels, beam angles, and control systems are defined in detail, and a technical specification is prepared.
The specification clearly outlines all technical characteristics and requirements of the lighting system — including wiring, connections, power supplies, and control mechanisms — in accordance with the project criteria and applicable standards. It serves as a reference document for the selection, procurement, and installation of the lighting equipment.
05

TENDER
DOCUMENTATION
The scope of work involves the professional planning and supervision of the lighting design tender process. This includes the meticulous preparation of all tender documentation, followed by the systematic collection and evaluation of vendor proposals to ensure technical and financial alignment with the project’s goals."
"Furthermore, we manage all technical communications and Q&A sessions with suppliers to ensure a clear understanding of the project requirements. We provide expert support to the employer throughout the selection of the optimal bid and the formal execution of the contract.

SITE
SUPERVISION
Provides on-site support to ensure that lighting luminaires are installed in accordance with the design intent and that all electrical connections are properly executed. Target illuminance levels are tested, and the lighting scenarios are commissioned and fine-tuned.
Through close coordination with installation teams and other stakeholders, technical issues that may arise during implementation are addressed efficiently, ensuring a smooth and successful completion of the process
