Conceptual Design

It is a conceptual phase in which various lighting strategies, luminaires, and control systems are carefully evaluated in response to the spatial program and aesthetic objectives. The design approach focuses on enhancing functionality, defining focal points, and shaping the desired visual atmosphere.

This stage establishes the conceptual framework of the project and serves as the foundation for the detailed technical development that follows.

Detailed Design & Design Development

The selection and positioning of lighting luminaires, light intensity levels, beam angles, and control systems are defined in detail, and a technical specification is prepared.

The specification clearly outlines all technical characteristics and requirements of the lighting system — including wiring, connections, power supplies, and control mechanisms — in accordance with the project criteria and applicable standards. It serves as a reference document for the selection, procurement, and installation of the lighting equipment.

Shematic Design

A preliminary lighting plan is developed to define the project’s lighting requirements. During the Schematic Design phase, a comprehensive lighting program is established for each area of the space, taking into account the architectural context as well as applicable energy codes and standards. This program outlines the proposed luminaire types, light sources, and control systems to be integrated into the design.

Construction Documents

This phase involves the professional planning, organization, and supervision of the tender process related to the project’s lighting design.

During this process, tender documents are prepared, and the collection and evaluation of bids are carried out. Communication is coordinated with suppliers to clarify technical requirements through a structured Q&A process. Support is provided to the client in selecting the most appropriate proposal and in managing the contractual procedures.

Site Supervision

This phase provides on-site support to ensure that lighting luminaires are installed in accordance with the design intent and that all electrical connections are properly executed. Target illuminance levels are tested, and the lighting scenarios are commissioned and fine-tuned.

Through close coordination with installation teams and other stakeholders, technical issues that may arise during implementation are addressed efficiently, ensuring a smooth and successful completion of the process.
