Adahan De Camondo Pera Autograph Collection is one of the historic “Camondo Buildings” located in Beyoğlu, Istanbul.
Designed by architect Gabriel Tedeschi for the Camondo family, this neoclassical building features a rich array of architectural details.
While different approaches were adopted for each luminaire group in terms of color temperature, 2700K was specifically used for the window forms. This created a warm glow that emanates from within the windows.
Continuing from the window forms, the architectural details located just below the sills were illuminated in a soft gradient from top to bottom using linear LED light sources concealed beneath the sills.
Fixtures with specialized optics are carefully positioned to cast a precise U-shaped light exclusively on the window sills. This meticulous placement ensures no light spills into the guest rooms, while warm 2700K sources are utilized to beautifully reflect an inviting hospitality ambiance.
Wallwashers featuring asymmetric optics are carefully chosen to illuminate all the columns of the structure, revealing the pillar patterns and establishing a striking ambiance with a 3000K color temperature. Balancing this strong verticality, concealed IP-rated linear lighting is placed along the cornice, beautifully emphasizing the building's horizontal scale and the architectural details.
By gently highlighting the historical architecture, a deeply sophisticated and calm ambiance is created for the building in this busy touristic spot. Ultimately, it is turned into a beautiful landmark that effortlessly catches the eye.
