Exterior Lighting Design
The Ashgabat University encompasses a wide range of facilities, including the administrative building, four faculty buildings, conference and exhibition buildings, as well as staff housing and student dormitories.
The lighting design approach was tailored to highlight both the architectural grandeur and the nighttime functionality of the campus.
In strict accordance with local lighting codes, a 6500K (cool white) color temperature was utilized throughout the entire project. The white marble facades of the structures served as a natural canvas for the light.
To emphasize the architectural details and the striking forms of the rectorate and faculty buildings, we employed projectors and wallwashers.
Overall exterior lighting for Ashgabat Technical University acts as a seamless extension of the architecture itself.
At the main entrance, bright lines of lights on the ground easily guide you across the wide plaza, while soft lights on the trees and bushes make the campus feel warm and welcoming.
Downlights are mounted underneath pergolas to create focal point for sitting areas besides security reasons.
